Get ready, Cochrane! GEDfest is bringing an unforgettable evening of live music, community spirit, and support for a great cause.
Helping Hands Society of Cochrane & Area is thrilled to have been selected as the recipient charity for GEDfest Cochrane 2026, taking place on Saturday, October 24, at The Venue.
Celebrating the music and legacy of Gord Downie and The Tragically Hip, GEDfest brings people together through a shared love of Canadian music while making a meaningful difference in the community.
Great Music for a Great Cause
This year’s event will feature live performances by Wheat Kings and Wyman, promising an evening filled with familiar favourites, great energy, and plenty of opportunities to sing along.
But GEDfest is about more than music. It’s about celebrating community, honouring an iconic Canadian musician, and supporting organizations that make a difference close to home.
We’re incredibly grateful to the GEDfest organizers for choosing Helping Hands as this year’s recipient charity.
Supporting Neighbours Across Cochrane and Area
At Helping Hands, our mission is simple: Strengthening Community. Reducing Vulnerability.
Through volunteer-powered programs such as Food Rescue, the Volunteer Driver Program, Free Food Sheds, and Caring Neighbours, we provide practical assistance and meaningful connections to people throughout Cochrane and the surrounding area.
Community events like GEDfest help raise awareness of the work we do and bring people together in support of neighbours who need a helping hand.
Every act of generosity, whether through volunteering, donating, or attending a community event, contributes to building a stronger, more connected Cochrane.
Join Us at GEDfest Cochrane!
Mark your calendars and get ready for a fantastic evening!
