Who does food rescue in Cochrane? Helping Hands Society of Cochrane and area does with our army of volunteers! We rescue perfectly good, edible food every day from grocery stores and redirect that food to our free food sheds.
Helping Hands Society Cochrane is THE Food Rescue Agency in town. We rescue more than 7000kg’s of food every month. We can take ALL food, perishable or non perishable, best before dated out or “expired”, destined for the garbage and redirect it to human consumption. Saving perfectly good food from the garbage, reducing harmful greenhouses gases and complimenting community hunger. We do it everyday!
